Appeal judges rule against county commissioners

TUESDAY, April 14: The Texas first court of appeals today denied Galveston County commissioners’ motion for reconsideration by the full court of its three-judge decision refusing a writ of mandamus in the commissioners’ case against district judge Lonnie Cox’s September 2014 order preventing them replacing Bonnie Quiroga as the county’s justice administration director.
