Trust at the root of dental dissatisfaction
By Ian White
DENTISTS in Texas have been condemned to a C+ patient-satisfaction rating by an annual national survey.
The survey, conducted by opencare.com, assessed more than 56,000 dentists operating in more than 100 cities throughout the nation, including Houston, where 27,371 patient reviews were studied.
Claimed as the largest study exclusively about dentist quality, the report placed Texas a long way behind A+-rated Connecticut but comfortably ahead of F-rated Hawaii.
In a survey that placed great emphasis on patients’ trust in their dentists, Houston ranked eighth of the 23 cities analyzed in Texas, earning a B grade. The study found the state’s most satisfied dental patients in Tyler.
