Tackle Time draws closer

When: June 30 to July 9, 2017

The start of the month brings local fishermen closer to the 55th annual Texas City/La Marque Jaycees Tackle Time, which begins at 12:01 am on June 30 and continues thru noon on July 9.

Early registration can be done online at tclmjaycees.com/tackletime and tickets can be purchased at the tournament headquarters, Boyd’s One Stop and Lee’s Bait and Tackle on the Texas City Dike.

Registration for the offshore category is $50, while inshore registration will be $25 with youth division registration $10.

As has been the case over the past few years, Shark, Open Division, Ling and Kingfish are in the offshore division, while in the inshore division, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Stingray, Gar, Sheepshead, Jackfish, Gaftop and Redfish will comprise the eligible fish in the inshore division. The youth division will have Sand Trout, Croaker, Hard Head and Blue Crab.
