Being in a world that is full of darkness that you once lived in yourself, it is amazing at the things that you were once lost in that you didn’t even realize you were lost. You see people that you once knew from being in that same place of darkness and some still being there and they see you and congratulate you and encourage you to keep pushing forward. Case in point. I was at my little cousin’s football game last night and I saw so many people that I haven’t seen in years. Even though they are not actually “friends” with me on FB, somehow, they had seen me online somewhere and they went out of their way to come and speak to me and tell me how good a job I have been doing and that they have been seeing me on social media. I talked to them and encouraged them to believe they could and they would do better. And as I was leaving, I heard The Lord say, “People may never “like” a Facebook post or even comment but they are watching. The life that you live can cause people to come to Me or go astray. And in that moment, I knew I had to let my light shine. Because there are people that see what you do, listen to the way you talk, and the way that you carry yourself and they know how far you have come and that alone gives them hope.
So, I would like to encourage and hopefully motivate you to know that if you are on this Walk of Faith, know that it isn’t a cakewalk but it is absolutely worth it. There are people that are watching from a distance with” binoculars” and you are a mirror to them; because you came from the same place. The only difference is you are not there anymore. Honestly, there are more people hoping you fail because if you do, then they don’t have to try as hard to change. But if you don’t and you take on the trials and tribulations in life which Jesus said there would be just remember He also said He has overcome this whole world. He also said, “the works that I have done, you will do even greater works than these.” So, know that, as believers we already have the victory. Those other people that are watching you and every day that you stand strong, you give them hope. So, Walk in Faith and let you Light Shine!
