TODAY, SUNDAY: With no Houston sports teams in action and a nice day outside, take the time to shake off the excess eating from Thanksgiving and enjoy the afternoon.
TOMORROW, MONDAY: The new week of high school basketball gets off to an early start with the state-ranked Clear Creek girls team welcoming Fort Bend Hightower for a
7:00pm tip. The contest will be a precursor for the Peggy Whitley Tournament that begins on Thursday and will feature the Wildcats and the rest of the CCISD girls teams.
Houston sports teams are in action as the Rockets welcome the Nets beginning at 7:00pm. It’s the next to last game of a homestand for the Rockets, who will hit the road this
Sunday when they face highly-touted rookie Lonzo Ball and the Lakers. AT&T Sportsnet will have the game starting with the pregame show at 6:30pm.
As for the Texans, they get the Monday Night Football spotlight when they visit the Ravens beginning at 7:30pm. The team will be without running back D’Onta Foreman, who
was placed on the injured reserve list on Wednesday, ending the rookie season of the Texas City native. Houston will likely be without receiver Will Fuller, making the task more
daunting for quarterback Tom Savage against the league’s best pass defense. ESPN will air the game, while KTRK-13 will simulcast the contest.
TUESDAY: A busy night of basketball is on the slate with boys action starting at 7:00pm with Clear Brook at Pasadena Dobie, Clear Creek vs. Pasadena at Phillips Field House,
Pasadena Sam Rayburn at Clear Falls, Houston Sterling at Friendswood, state-ranked La Marque at Cleveland, Santa Fe at Alvin and Texas City at Rosenberg Terry. Hitchcock
visits Palacios at 7:30pm.
In girls’ hoops action, Coldspring at Hitchcock begins at 6:15pm. Clear Brook is at C.E. King and Clear Falls at Goose Creek Memorial tip at 7:00pm. District 23-5A play also
begins as Fort Bend Elkins at Galveston Ball and Manvel at Santa Fe which also starts at 7:00pm. In other non-district action, La Marque is at Fort Bend Austin.
