HEALING IN THE BROKEN PLACES

There have been times in my life when I have been
shaken to my very heart and soul. I have been broken
and shattered into a million pieces. I have looked at those shattered pieces and
wondered what should I do with them and dare I even try. Do I sweep them up and
discard them into the trash pile? Do I take my time and try and create something
new with all the pieces left behind knowing I risk being cut and left bleeding by the
sharp shards of my life? A new year is a good time to take a look at the broken
pieces of you life. I am learning to be thankful for the times in my life that I’ve been
broken. Until you’re broken for awhile,
you don’t know what you’re made of.
If it hadn’t been for the broken times, I
wouldn’t know the importance of fighting
to come back, and rebuilding my
life into something stronger, representing
the beautiful mosaic piece of art,
that makes me, me. There will be scars
where the repairs have been made.
They are a testimony of who you really
are, how strong you can become, and
should be looked upon fondly and with
pride. I have been broken and shattered
in my life and I will forever do my
very best to be thankful for both them.
