My sister married a Yankee. She was living up there so it kinda made sense. But then she brought him down here, which is OK too except that he’s a sports writer and he was covering high school football so my sister had to be on the phone with him to “translate” what these coaches
were saying because he would get hung up on the colloquialisms.  How much easier his transition would have been if he had read this book.
From chicken hypnosis to the all pervasive world of petrochemicals, from first grade to Hell, Harvey Cappel has a story, an opinion, an experience or unique insight into pretty much any topic you can come up with.  Oddly enough, he decided to share those stories and insights
in a book of 40 short stories he published awhile back called ‘True Story, I Swear It -Maybe’.  It is chock full of absurdities, tall tales, twists, turns and the truly unexpected…pretty much a perfect summer read.  Harvey’s book can be found on Amazon – in paperback and digital. And if you happen to have a Yankee in the family, you might just want to get two!
