Volleyball, Astros Bring Normalcy to Schedule

With area schools set to open later this week, the schedule will begin to feel normal with high school volleyball set to anchor Tuesday’s docket. Meanwhile, the Astros visit the unpredictable White Sox in a four-game series leading into a potential World Series preview at the defending champion Braves later in the week.

Sunday: The Astros close out their homestand against the Athletics beginning at 1:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage at 12:30pm with the pregame show.

Monday: A seven-game road trip opens in Chicago where the Astros collide with a White Sox team nipping at the heels of the Twins and Guardians in the American League Central. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest begins coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm, while FS1 will have coverage at 7:00pm to lead into the 7:10pm start time.

Tuesday: High school volleyball gets going at 4:30pm with Family Christian Academy visiting La Marque, followed by Clear Springs at Katy Tompkins at 5:30pm. Kingwood at Clear Brook, Friendswood at Clear Creek and Hitchcock at Rice Consolidated are each 6:00pm starts, while Clear Falls at Dawson, Dickinson at George Ranch, Milby at Galveston Ball and Santa Fe at Needville each start their matches at 6:30pm.
La Porte and Texas City will face off in team tennis at the TCHS courts at 3:00pm.
The Astros and White Sox continue their series starting at 7:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will begin coverage at 6:30pm with the pregame show.
