Beloved – I love that word. I love the way it sounds when it is spoken. I love what is implied when you hear it and I love what it means.
In these trying and difficult times, it is so wonderful to feel and be beloved. In my opinion, love is the strongest and greatest force in our universe. We need more love. We need to be loved.
We all need to feel beloved. We need the power of love. Love heals. Love sets us free. Love is our balm and comfort.
My dearly beloved, above all else I wish you love. Share it. Open your heart and receive it from wherever it comes. Let its power and mysteries become more alive in you than ever before. It is what the world and hearts need more of, now, than ever before. Be-loved, beloved.
And to my beloved, happy heavenly birthday, Michael Durisseau, July 17, 1961. We remember, honor and celebrate you, with love.

There’s an old school quote that has just come to my mind: “Today is the first day of the rest of your life”. I am reflecting on how true it still is.
To make a new beginning or to start over in your life requires certain elements in order to progress into our new day. First, we have to be willing to accept and encourage change. For many of us, that doesn’t come easy, and we have to find our inner gumption to commit and then to see that change come about.
Second, we might also need to let go of items that we’ve been holding on to – some of those things might be a way of thinking, a bad habit – and be willing to release things such as anger, bitterness, misguided self-image or fear.
I want to encourage you that you truly can make a new beginning and today can be the starting point of a new way of thinking, believing and living, if that is your heart’s desire. I am making changes in this new life that I’m living. Why not join me in some old-school thinking and let’s see where we end up?
The rest of our lives holds only possibilities that, little by little, could take us to beautiful places in our minds, bodies and spirits.

The great Ralph Waldo Emerson once said: “The only gift is a portion of thyself.” Is there anything more lovely or inspiring than the gift of self?
Everything that we go through in life, in terms of both the joys and the sorrows, is an experience that prepares us to be able to reach out and share the gift of self with someone. Our love, time and attention that we thoughtfully bestow on one another is a heartfelt gift that can help comfort or even help change our fellow man.
It is the gift of “thyself” – you ¬– and it is something that is readily available, something we don’t have to shop for and something immensely valuable. Never underestimate the value of you and what you have to give to someone you love, care about or just encounter along life’s way.
Your willingness to share “a portion of thyself” might be exactly what is needed to inspire a hurting or discouraged soul. So, when it comes to the giving of you, always
be generous.

Have you ever been guilty of losing yourself to life’s “what if” questions? What if my child tries drugs? What if my loved one gets sick or dies? What if we lose our financial security?
The possibilities of what might or could happen to our detriment are endless. They can also cause undue stress and misery if you keep entertaining them in your mind. I would rather think about life’s good “what if” questions.
What if your child surpasses all of your hopes and dreams? What if your loved ones remain in good health for their entire lives? What if all of your dedication and hard work result in job satisfaction and even huge financial rewards?
When you find that you are dwelling in the land of negative “what if” questions, quickly turn it around. It’s much more productive and calming to dwell in the land of positive possibility.
What if you did that instead?

Now that we are in the full swing of summer, I am sure that many of you are planning some vacation time. It is always exciting to have a break from the day-to-day humdrum of life, whether you plan an extended getaway or just fun activities for a great staycation.
I would like to invite you all to take a vacation with me this year. I’m not going very far and it will be budget friendly. So come with me and let’s take a vacation from some exhausting  mindsets and other stressful influences!
I want to set sail and take a vacation from worry, fear, lack of peace and excessive stress! Unless we leave those things behind, we will not have a good physical vacation, no matter where our journey takes us.
And, for my vacation, you must unpack your baggage because we will be traveling light. I am more than ready for some R&R and am hoping to remain in a stress-free, baggage-free and relaxed state of mind for as long as possible.
Come sail away with me!
