Inspirations by Frances Durisseau’s

My children were raised on the Rocky movies. We always found inspiration somewhere in the dialogue or action. Here is a life lesson that was spoken by Sylvester Stallone in his role as Rocky Balboa: “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are; it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
“You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
There is much truth there for all of us in life’s prizefight. Life hits hard and sometimes takes us to our knees. We have to choose to get back up, with blackened eyes and bruises and sometimes looking really beaten up. We need to always be in it to win the fight of getting back up and moving forward, when it hurts, when it’s scary and when we look our worst.
Keep fighting. Keep punching. Keep getting back up. Keep moving forward. Never quit. Never give up. The struggle might be real but the fight is always worth winning.
