Risky Business

How do you face taking risks in your life? There are times we all are faced with what might seem like risky opportunities and decisions. Do you cower, retreat and think no way? I’ve always wanted to skydive. One of these days I am going to do it! After watching videos  of one of my daughters and two of my grown grandchildren take that plunge, soaring through the air, it only confirmed that desire in me. Are you too afraid to make a career change? That can be risky and scary for some. I’ve taken many small risks too. Sometimes trying new recipes have been risky enough, quite fun and sometimes successful and other times, not so much, but I’m glad I tried. Committing to a new relationship can be risky, but when I look back on my extraordinary marriage I am very thankful that I agreed to it.

Don’t be afraid to step off the ledge, jump off the high dive, and face the giants in your life. It might be really scary, and your knees may be shaking, and your heart may be pounding, but taking risks in life are almost always worth it. You don’t have to bungee jump or jump out of airplanes to take risks.

Just remember to break the routine and step out of the ordinary from time to time. Don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you. Do something new. Try something different. Just for today?
