Inspirations by Frances Durisseau
Sometimes, especially considering all that have been impacted in the last month by our visitor Harvey, life gets a lot more difficult than usual. During these tumultuous times, we need to turn off, unplug, take a break, take a nap, or whatever we need to do to separate us from the source or sources of distress. Occasionally, you will find me morphing into my Scarlett O’Hara personality and repeating ” I’ll think about that tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day”, in my best Suth’rn drawl. Most often it is because I’ve let myself become completely overloaded emotionally or I’ve just taken on too much or had too much hit me at once. Did you know it’s perfectly acceptable to find some respite, to say no, or politely decline something because you just need a break or some quiet time? Give yourself permission to turn it all off for a little while. All of it. Without rest and a little personal rehabilitation, you will shut down in every area of your life. Those who love you will understand, and if someone doesn’t understand, maybe you should just ” think about that tomorrow” too. You are worth it. ?
