Many are astounded and grieved with all that is happening in our nation. How could
yet another crazed gunman wipe out innocent people at their house of worship? It
is heartbreaking, incomprehensible, and leaves us asking why, to one another, to
our God, and to the universe. As we watch with horror and even fear, we have to reevaluate
many of our core beliefs. There are times in all of our lives when the trials
seem relentless. It is in these times of trouble that we find what we are really made
of. Are we going to cower and give in to the pain or fear or will we rise up in the face
of whatever it is we are staring down and say ” I am a wo(man) of strength and faith
and you will not defeat me. Regardless of your views and feelings about gun laws,
political standings and such, don’t let fear beat you down and render you helpless.
Examine your feelings and reactions and stand up to the fear, and rise again to face
your future with a strengthened heart, spine and mind. Every voice counts. Every
stand of faith counts. Every act of compassion and love counts. It’s time to get busy
and stand strong.
