WITH SCHOOLS about to wrap up for summer vacation, the pros will get the

bulk of the calendar’s attention between now and August. The Astros close

out one series against one of the American League’s top teams before starting

a new set at the House That Ruth Built. Rockets fans will hope their Monday

night will be free but a potential game seven against the Warriors could be in

the offing.

TODAY, SUNDAY: The Astros close out their four-game set against the Indians

when Gerrit Cole (5-1, 1.86 ERA) takes the mound in Cleveland against Trevor

Bauer (4-3, 2.35 ERA) beginning at 12:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will

have the coverage starting with the pregame show beginning at 11:30am.

TOMORROW, MONDAY: If necessary, the seventh and decisive game of the

Western Conference finals will be at Toyota Center as the Warriors and Rockets

would face off for the right to advance to the NBA Finals. The series was

tied at 2-2 entering Thursday’s game five in Houston. The Rockets also used

Thursday to offer their support to Santa Fe as members of the Indians Class

of 2018 received free tickets while the team wore a patch in honor of the 10

people who were killed in the shooting at SFHS on March 18.

TNT would have the game live beginning at 8:00pm while 790-AM would have

the radio broadcast.

The Astros will play on Memorial Day with a 12:00pm tilt at the Yankees. Justin

Verlander (6-2, 1.08 ERA) gets the holiday start for Houston and will be countered

by New York’s Domingo German (0-2, 5.59 ERA). ESPN will have the

national broadcast as the game will be the first of a triple-header on the network

while AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start its coverage with the pregame

show at 11:30am.

TUESDAY: Charlie Morton will get the start for the Astros in the middle game

of their series at the Yankees. Morton brings a 6-0 record and a 1.94 ERA into

the contest and will be opposed by New York’s C.C. Sabathia (2-1, 3.55 ERA).

AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start its coverage at 5:30pm with the pregame

show that will lead into the first pitch, which is slated for 6:05pm.
