The La Marque High School football family lost Kwasi Cockrell, who passed away suddenly on Friday. Cockrell was the starting quarterback for the Cougars when they captured the first of the program’s five state championships in 1995, throwing for 1,380 yards and 11 touchdowns while helping guide La Marque to a perfect 16-0 mark.
