Wednesday: Friendswood’s boys soccer team continues its scrimmage slate with a 7:30 tuneup at Galena Park.
Thursday: The Rockets host the Pelicans at 7 PM. Space City Home Network will begin coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.
Friday: Boys’ basketball begins at 1 PM with state-ranked Friendswood at Ball, followed by Dickinson at Brazoswood at 5 PM. Clear Creek at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at Clear Springs, Needville at state-ranked La Marque, and La Porte at Santa Fe begin at 7 PM.
On the girls’ basketball schedule, Ball at Friendswood begins at 3 PM, while Brazoswood at Dickinson starts at 5 PM. La Marque at Needville begins at 6 PM, Clear Brook at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Clear Falls, and Santa Fe at La Porte at 7 PM.
The boys’ soccer scrimmage schedule begins at Elisk at Dickinson at 5:45 PM and La Marque at Pasadena at 6 PM. Stafford at Ball, Lamar at Clear Falls, and Texas City at Manvel are at 7:30 PM.
On the girls’ soccer schedule, Goose Creek Memorial at Clear Creek is at 3 PM, with Clear Springs at Alvin at 5:30 PM. Crosby at Santa Fe is at 6:30 PM, while Waltrip at Clear Brook is at 7 PM. Ball at Goose Creek, Friendswood at Deer Park, and Chavez at Texas City is at 7:30 PM.
Saturday: Santa Fe boys’ soccer will host their annual alumni match at noon.
The Texans visit Kansas City for a noon clash against the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs. KPRC2 and Peacock.
The college football playoffs opening weekend will see 12th-seed Clemson at fifth-seed Texas at 3:30 PM. TNT will have the game live.
