While much of the area’s sports focus will be on Dickinson’s football game against North Shore on Friday night, the basketball schedule is sparked by the annual CCISD Kruger/Carlisle Tournament, which begins on Thursday.
Wednesday: The Rockets host the Kings at 7 PM. Space City Home Network will begin the pregame show at 6:30 PM.
Thursday: The highlight of the basketball weekend is Clear Creek ISD’s annual Kruger/Carlisle Tournament, which features all five of the district’s schools, along with Ball and Texas City, among others. Other boys’ teams competing in tourneys include state-ranked Friendswood at the South San Antonio Tournament, state-ranked La Marque at the Fruit City Classic in West Orange-Stark, and Santa Fe at the Dallas Jesuit Tournament.
Meanwhile, the girls’ tournament slate will have Clear Falls at the Nancy Walling Classic in Pflugerville, La Marque at the Crosby Varsity Tournament, and Texas City at the Houston ISD Tournament.
A suddenly red-hot Cowboys team opens Week 14 with a trip to the Lions. Prime Video will have the game live at 7:15 PM.
Friday: Girls’ basketball tourney play will see Friendswood hosting the Mustang Madness Tourney, which includes Dickinson and Santa Fe, while Clear Creek takes part in the Barbers Hill Tournament. In regular play, Lake Creek at Clear Springs is at 6 PM, followed by Ball at Clements and Clear Brook at Humble at 7 PM.
The Rockets host the Suns at 7 PM. Space City Home Network starts coverage with the pregame show at 6:30 PM.
Saturday: The Rockets visit the Mavericks at 7:30 PM. Space City Home Network starts the pregame show at 7 PM.
