Today, we would like to feature a return vendor, Jan Strubbe who owns NetJa Jewelry. She worked in education for thirty-six years with little time for art of any type. She has always had a love for art, photography and jewelry, which she is now pursuing at an accelerated rate. During college she was a prolific writer and actually had a small book of poetry with illustrations, drawn by a friend, published locally. Upon retirement she realized her artistic side was ready to emerge. She started with one of a kind jewelry pieces and had her first show in August of 2016. She has continued creating jewelry and extensively researching methods, stones, and other bead forms to enrich each piece. She has continued her education of the craft through numerous classes, so she is able to enlist new methods of creation and design into her jewelry. Natural stones were dominant in her first phase and she now has branched out to add Czech glass, lamp work beads and other one of a kind beads when available. Through travel she has also been able to find beads and other interesting pieces to incorporate into her jewelry. At the same time, she is now using some of her beads for mixed media journals and other accessories, all uniquely one of a kind. We are sure you will find her items to be unique and beautiful for you or for someone on your shopping list.
