
Bolivar: GOOD. 67 degrees. Bolivar Jetty still holding trout and slot redfish on popping cork and live shrimp. Target oversized reds in the channel of the north jetty on bottom with cut mullet. Texas City: GOOD. 73 degrees. The trout and the occasional redfish action is good under the birds in East Bay by San Leon shore on soft plastic. Mosquito island holding some nice trout. Freeport: GOOD. 67 degrees. Fishing has been ok due to warmer waters and possible pressure from so many fishermen out during the holidays. Brazos River is muddy. Sheepshead are good with limits coming in the boat. Finding eggs in the sheepshead which is an indicator of an early spawning seasoning. Drum and undersized redfish are good on live shrimp.
East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 69 degrees. Prior to the cold front fishing was off the charts.The bay is clearing up after the high winds. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 68 degrees. Lots of oversized redfish with a few slots mixed in are biting on dead shrimp and sardines. Slot drums are good on dead shrimp.
