While the Astros conclude their series against the Rangers and welcome another playoff contender in the Rays, football fans can get excited over the fact the Texans are beginning training camp on Wednesday, with Friday being the first opportunity for fans to see the new look franchise.
Wednesday: The Astros conclude their important three-game set against the Rangers beginning at 7:10pm. Both AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (Houston) and Bally’s Sportsnet Southwest (Texas) will both start their pregame shows at 6:30pm.
Thursday: The Texans will start their second day of training camp as new head coach DeMeco Ryans and first-round pick CJ Stroud will look to help the team begin to rebound from their recent doldrums.
Friday: Texans fans are invited to attend training camp for the first time beginning at 9:00am. It will be the first of eight dates that will be open to the public. Attendance is free for all comers.
The Astros welcome a Rays team that has struggled in July to the point where they entered the week second to the Orioles in the American League East. Gametime is set for 7:10pm, with AT&T Sportsnet Southwest beginning coverage at 6:30pm.
Saturday: Game two of the series between the Rays and Astros will be one of the featured games for Fox’s Baseball Night in America (KRIV26). The pregame show starts at 6:00pm with the game starting at 6:15pm.
