This years’ tournament consisted entirely of epee competitions (no foil or sabre fencing). The major event at the tournament was a senior (teens/adults) mixed event. The winner of the event, Constantin MIcu of Dickinson received a ranking of D2026 from USA Fencing, the national governing body for the sport. USA Fencing rankings run from an A rank (the highest) down to an E (the lowest). Most fencers have no ranking and are designated as U (unranked). Second place went to Mason Elkin of Santa Fe, who renewed his E.
Additionally there were mixed competitions in various age groups: Y8 (Youth 8 & Under); Y10; Y12; Y14; and, Veteran (age 40+). THere was also a special senior event for blind epee with competitors from the local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. That was won by Heidy Tran of Dickinson.
