We are in the last 31 days of 2019 and the end of another decade. Looking back, I see a whirlwind of activity and situations, and not all of them good. It would be easy to let depression settle in. We all go into the new year and decade with high hopes that this will be a time of spectacular new horizons and blessings and find that it is years of what seems like endless trials and tribulations. Looking back, I’m sure many of you, like me, wonder how you have made it through. It’s truly a combination of God’s grace and your abilities to withstand so much more than you ever thought possible. You are stronger than you ever thought. You have more courage than you give yourself credit for. You have determination that you didn’t realize you had. You have strength that lies untapped inside you and won’t surface until it’s needed again. So, remember to give yourself some credit where credit is due. You have made it through intact, although like me, a bit battered and bruised. In this last month, why not recount the year and decade and look at what all you have accomplished and made it through? I think it’s time for some accolades to be handed out. Let’s end the last month of this year on a high note. Celebrate the good that you have done, all that you have accomplished, all that you have weathered, and toss out the rest!! Let’s make December a great month!
