TEXAS CITY, TX – It will be a very merry (and delicious!) shopping season for one lucky person this
year! The grand prize winner of Texas City’s Shop Local Bingo will win free Whataburger for a year,
plus more than $2,500 worth of gift cards and prizes, just by shopping and dining in Texas City.
To play Texas City’s Shop Local Bingo:
1) Pick up a bingo card from City Hall (1801 9th Avenue N.), Moore Memorial Public Library
(1701 9th Avenue N.), or Tanger Outlets (5885 Gulf Fwy. – suite 630). The card can also be
downloaded at www.shoplocalbingo.com.
2) Now through Dec. 15, shop & dine locally and save receipts from Texas City businesses to
fill the squares. One receipt = one square.
3) Fill any row on the card, and you’ll be entered to win special Texas City items, like vintagestyle shirts, disc golf sets, tumblers and more.
4) Anyone who fills the whole card will also be entered to win the grand prize, which includes
free Whataburger for a Year and more than $2,500 worth of gift cards and items donated by
local businesses.
All bingo cards must be returned to City Hall or Moore Memorial Public Library by Monday, Dec. 15.
The winners will be selected and notified on Tuesday, Dec. 16, and the prizes will be presented
during the Texas City Commission meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m.

There are five categories/rows on the Shop Local Bingo card: retail, restaurant, Tanger Outlet,
player’s choice and social media. For the social media row, on Monday, Nov. 17, the City of Texas
City’s Facebook page will create a designated Shop Local Bingo post, where players can comment
and tag a local business in the comments; each business tagged fills a square on a player’s card.
