As our self-distancing and stay at home season has progressed, I know many who have found it to be nerve wracking and who have allowed cabin fever to cause many negative outbursts and behaviors. I’ve chosen to react with love. Love is not expressed in just words. It is expressed in your habits, in your actions, in your commitments, and in your responsibilities. Love is not seen in just movies, greeting cards, or in songs. Love is simply what fills your heart, your eyes, your smile, your soul and is expressed to anyone you meet, anywhere you go, and at any time. Love does not discriminate. Love does not pick and choose. Love is meant to heal not hurt. We all need to count it as a privilege that we can love others and do it with joy, by protecting our families, our neighbors and our communities’ health and well-being. It is time to let our selfish desires to be overcome with love for others. Love will heal our world.
