I was reminded again this week that life really is short, even if we are given the gift of many years. It will never seem long enough to be with those we love. Every moment that we have to spend with our spouse, our children, our parents, our grandchildren, our very close friends, are so special. These loved ones are our treasures and we should cherish them as such. In an instant they can be gone. We should spend as much time as we can making memories, laughing, having joyful moments, playing, sharing, caring, and creating legacies that can live on and on in memories. When we come to the end of our lives, I’m sure not one of us will wish we had spent more hours at our jobs working, or cleaning the house, or doing more chores. What we will want is to have more spontaneous moments where we stopped and played with our children when they were young, just because, or where we spent more time with our husband or wife or aging parents. Why not start making extra time for your loved ones? Every little bit helps.
