Bolivar: GOOD. 73 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are found when wading the shallow reefs and shorelines and are best on shrimp or cut mullet. Black drum are good around vegetation or structure on crab or shrimp. Flounder are fair around the rocks on shrimp.

Trinity Bay: GOOD. 74 degrees. Wade fish along the shoreline with artificial baits or drift over shell reefs to catch Speckled trout and redfish. Black drum are good on crab or shrimp in the deeper water or around structure. Flounder will also be along the shoreline.

East Galveston Bay: FAIR. 73 degrees. Speckled trout and Redfish are along the shoreline and are good on shrimp or artificial baits. Black drum are good near San Luis Pass on shrimp or crab. Redfish are in the back lakes and over areas with sand and shell bottom and are good on live shrimp.

West Galveston Bay: FAIR. 73 degrees. Overall poor fishing lately. Speckled trout and redfish are poor to fair over shell-on shrimp or soft plastics. Flounder are good on shrimp under a popping cork. Black drum are biting using shrimp or crab around structures or vegetation.

Texas City: GOOD. 73 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are good working the drop-offs around the dike on topwaters or shrimp. Flounder and Black drum are good on shrimp or mullet around the rocks or structure.

Freeport: FAIR. 73 degrees. Speckled trout are fair near the ICW on live shrimp. Black drum are good on shrimp around structure. Some Redfish have been found along the back lakes and marshes using shrimp under a popping cork. Sheepshead are fair on live shrimp around the reefs or jetties.

East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 74 degrees. A good amount of grass on the flats in both bays has led to better conditions for speckled trout and redfish. Use cut mullet or shrimp. Catch and release is still encouraged for the time being.

West Matagorda Bay: FAIR TO GOOD. 74 degrees. Wading and drifting have produced good results. Redfish and Black drum can be found over the rocks on live shrimp under a popping cork or cut mullet. Speckled trout will be chasing mullet and are best on live shrimp or topwaters. Catch and release is encouraged.

Port O’Connor: GOOD. 73 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are found around the pass on sandy flats with scattered grass beds or near the reefs. Throw topwaters in the morning or soft plastics. Black drum are good on shrimp. Flounder are good around the rocks on shrimp.

Rockport: GOOD. 74 degrees. Speckled trout and redfish are good on shrimp or topwaters and will be along the shoreline, over grassy flats, or around the reefs. Black drum are good on shrimp and can be found in the channels or around structure.
