Home Stretch Begins for HS Baseball, Softball

With the Easter break over, the home stretch for both the high school baseball and softball seasons has arrived. The weekend also includes the Astros colliding with the rival Mariners and the Rockets closing out the regular season as the NBA playoffs begin next weekend.

Wednesday: The Astros conclude their series at the Rockies at 2:10 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 1:30 PM with the pregame show. 

Thursday: The Rockets host the 76ers at 7 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.

Friday: High school softball begins at 5 PM with East Bernard at Hitchcock and La Marque at Sealy. Bridge City at Ball, Clear Falls at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Lake, Dickinson at Clear Springs, and Santa Fe at Friendswood begin at 6:30 PM.

Meanwhile, the high school baseball schedule begins at 6 PM with Clear Falls at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Lake, Clear Springs at Dickinson, Texas City at Friendswood, East Bernard at Hitchcock, Sealy vs. La Marque (at TCHS Robinson Stadium), and Santa Fe at Iowa Colony. Ball at La Porte begins at 7 PM.

The Rockets host the Timberwolves at 8:30 PM. The game will be televised nationally on Prime Video.

The Astros face the defending American League West champion Mariners for the first time this season. Space City Home Network begins the pregame show at 8 PM, leading into the first pitch at 8:40 PM.

Saturday: Game two of the series at the Mariners is also an 8:40 PM start, with Space City Home Network beginning the pregame show at 8 PM.
