THREE OF Houston’s four professional sports teams will be in action on Sunday. Astros fans were hoping to make the day the first time in history that the Astros, Dynamo, Rockets and Texans all played on the same day, but the Red Sox had other plans and took out the defending World Series champions in five games. SUNDAY: What could be the biggest day in Houston sports history begins at noon when the Texans take their 3-3 record to Jacksonville to meet the 3-3 Jaguars. Houston holds a 19-13 series record against Jacksonville, with the Jags winning both meetings last year by scores of 29-7 and 45-7. KHOU-11 will have the game beginning at noon. The Cowboys will visit the Redskins in a fight between longtime NFC East rivals. It will be the 115th time Dallas and Washington have met, with the Cowboys sporting a 70-42-2 record against the Redskins, including wins in each of the last five games. Making the game more unique is that it will mark the first time since 1993 that a Dallas-Washington game will be aired on KHOU-11 when the two teams kick off at 3:25pm. Eliminated from playoff contention, the Dynamo continue to run out the string with a matchup against the playoff-bound Seattle Sounders at BBVA Compass beginning at 4:00pm. KUBE-57 will have the match live. The Rockets complete their two-game trip to Los Angeles with a clash against the Clippers that tips off at 8:00pm. Houston opened the regular season with a 131-112 loss to the Pelicans and played LeBron James and the Lakers on Saturday night. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start its coverage with the pregame show at 7:30pm, and the game can also be seen on NBA-TV.
