JUDGMENT DAY: TEXANS, COWBOYS IN REGULAR SEASON-DEFINING MATCHUPS

IT’S MAKE OR BREAK for both the Texans and Cowboys on Sunday, as both

teams will have to defeat visiting rivals in order to keep their current win streaks

alive. The start of the week also offers the final high school golf event of the

calendar year while Tuesday tips off the District 24-6A girls’ basketball season.

SUNDAY:  Letting the good times roll at NRG Stadium will require stopping

Andrew Luck and the Colts, who look to snap the Texans’ nine-game winning

streak beginning at noon. It was Indianapolis who started Houston’s franchiserecord

run of success when the Texans pulled out a 37-34 win at Indy on Sep tember

30, snapping the team’s 0-3 opening of the regular season. KHOU11 will

have the game live.

The Cowboys will look to bolster its share of the NFC East lead at the expense

of the Eagles, who roll into AT&T Stadium for a crucial clash starting at 3:25pm.

Dallas escaped Philly with a 27-20 win on November 11 that started their current

four-game win streak. Fox26 will have the game live.

MONDAY: In what will be the final event before the start of 2019, each of the five

Clear Creek ISD high school girls’ golf teams will participate in the annual CCHS

Varsity Invitational, which will be held at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston.

TUESDAY:  The boys’ high school basketball schedule begins with Goose Creek

Memorial at Clear Brook, Pasadena at Clear Springs, state-ranked La Marque at

Hitchcock and Deer Park at Texas City, with each beginning at 7:00pm. Friendswood

at Clear Creek tips off at 7:30pm.

In girls’ high school basketball action, La Marque at Tarkington starts at 6:00pm.

The District 24-6A regular season starts as Clear Brook at Clear Creek, Clear

Springs at Clear Falls and Dickinson at Clear Lake each begin at 7:00pm. Santa

Fe at Crosby, Baytown Lee at Friendswood and Goose Creek Memorial at

Galveston Ball are also 7:00pm starts.

The Rockets will look to even their season series against the Trail Blazers when

Portland comes to Toyota Center for a 7:00pm start. Houston lost the first meeting

on October 30, falling in a 104-85 decision. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will

begin its coverage starting with the pregame show at 6:30pm.
