
THREE AREA SCHOOLS competed for a chance to capture the 2019 adidas Texas 7on7 State Championships in College Station. Clear Brook, Clear Springs and Dickinson each were part of the Division I bracket and played three games for the right to advance to Saturday’s championship round.
Clear Brook was in Pool D along with Hutto, Port Neches-Groves and state title contender Southlake Carroll. Clear Brook found themselves in a loaded Pool F that included Cedar Hill, state powerhouse Austin Lake Travis and Beaumont West Brook, while Dickinson was in Pool I with Eisenhower, Denton Guyer and Vista Ridge.
Hitchcock suffered a pair of close losses in its Division 2 Pool C play on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost a 27-26 heartbreaker to Spring Hill in its first game before losing 45-15 to Boerne. Hitchcock was more competitive in its third game of the day but fell 32-20 to Graham.
