FROM TEXAS CITY TO WASHINGTON, D.C., the most anticipated election season in history is finally upon the radar, and The Post Newspaper is ready to gallup down the home stretch toward November 3.

Pictured here are both the contenders for the positions available in both Texas City and La Marque. Not only are those two cities facing elections, Dickinson and Galveston will each name a new mayor. Senate and congressional seats are on the line throughout the state, and — of course — there’s the monumental showdown between incumbent Donald J. Trump and Joseph R. Biden for the right to become President of the United States.

The Post Newspaper extends the offer for all candidates (yes, that includes you, Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden) to take advantage of our pages and state their platforms that will be seen not only in print but on our Facebook page and our official website. The public deserves the opportunity to hear the intent of each candidate. Word count is not necessary; the door is open for have your voice heard.

The Post Newspaper is also planning to dedicate our November 1 issue, the final one before Election Day, toward giving our readers a comprehensive look at the issues facing them as they place their ballot. Yes, early voting begins on October 13, and we will do everything possible over the next month to assure that our readers will be informed before making decisions that will not only impact us immediately, but to the generations after us.

There is never an excuse not to vote. If ever there was a year to be informed and vote, 2020 has definitely made its case to do so.

Thanks!

Brandon C. Williams, Editor, The Post Newspaper
