Galveston Ball alum Zyon McCollum boosted his NFL draft stock with a solid showing at the league’s rookie combine in Indianapolis on Sunday. The Sam Houston State defensive back recorded a 4.33-second run in the 40-yard dash and performed well in positional drills. ESPN.com draft analyst Matt Miller referred to McCollum as his “sleeper cornerback,” adding that McCollum bolstered his stock from priority free agent to potential Day 3 selection while suggesting a team like the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams would be a good fit for McCollum.
