Don’t give up so quickly, it’s not over.
Have you heard the story of the two frogs in a bowl of milk?
Two frogs fell into a bowl of milk. Having swum around the bowl, they realized that the edge of the bowl was too high and steep for them to get out. The first frog realized it was useless to waste his energy by continuing to swim since that would not get him out of the bowl gave up swimming and drowned. The second frog persevered and refused to give in. Gradually, the milk turned into butter, and the frog was able to use it as a foothold to jump out of the bowl.
The moral is those who don’t give up and persevere will get the victory or outcome they want.
Are you getting ready to give up because you don’t see a way out?
· Bills are steady coming in and you have little or no money.
· Your spouse says they want a divorce.
· Your job is not paying enough money and cutting back on your hours.
· Your children have more needs than you can afford.
· Creditors/IRS are calling your phone threatening you with garnishing your wages.
· There’s sickness in your body and you don’t have medical insurance or money to go to the doctor.
You are doing the best you can, and it seems it’s not enough, nothing’s working out. What do you do? 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares on Him, for He cares for us. Tell God your concerns, problems, and trials. If you say, “I have already,” try it again. This time take them to Him and trust Him to work them out for your good. Keep it moving and trust God and do what He says do according to His Word. According to what He tells you in a small voice, you will have a better outcome. It’s not over until God says it’s over. Keep fighting until your victory is won.
You must keep it moving in the right direction. You can’t expect to win if you just lie down and give up. Like the frog in the story keep moving. It’s easier to be hit by bullets if you stand still. If you are moving and dodging it’s harder to hit a moving target. Keep moving and doing what God says and the enemy and cares of this world cannot overtake you.
I saw on the news the other night a lady had a trailer home. A tornado came in and completely destroyed it. The neighbors found a wooden box of her’s that had “hope treasure” written on it. A stranger came by and wrote a note in the box and asked her to open it. The note said they were giving her $30,000 to help her get another house. This lady was shocked and overjoyed with this act of kindness from a stranger. It looked like a hopeless situation, but God sent an angel/stranger to help her.
God can and will do the same for you if you have faith and trust in Him. God has the last word. So, keep your eyes open looking for the angel from God that comes as a stranger. The stranger that will pay your bills off anonymously. The spouse will come home and say they will go to counseling with you to save the marriage. The boss calls you in the office and give you a promotion with a raise along with medical benefits.
It’s not over until God says it’s over.
