Wednesday: The college football weekend starts early when Western Kentucky visits Sam Houston State (ESPN2) at 6:00 pm.
Thursday: Week 8 of high school football season begins when Friendswood hosts Pasadena High at 7:00 pm.
In their preseason finale, the Rockets host the Spurs at 7:00 pm. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 pm with the pregame show.
Friday: The high school football schedule kicks off at 7:00 pm with Clear Creek at Clear Brook (Veterans Memorial), Clear Springs at Clear Falls (Challenger-Columbia), Brazoswood at Dickinson, Hitchcock at Hempstead, La Marque at Brookshire Royal, and Santa Fe at Texas City (Victory Sports Net).
High school volleyball gets an early start at 4:15 pm with Brazoswood at Dickinson and Bay City at La Marque at 4:30 pm. Ball at Lamar starts at 5:30 pm, while Clear Creek at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at Clear Springs, and Hitchcock at Hempstead at 6:00 pm.
Saturday: A huge day of college football begins with Houston at Kansas (ESPN+) and Rice at Tulane (ESPN+) at 2:30 pm, followed by #14 Texas A&M at Mississippi State (SEC Network) at 3:15 pm. Lamar at Texas A&M-Commerce (ESPN+) starts at 3:30 pm, while Stephen F. Austin at Southeastern Louisiana (ESPN+) starts at 4:00 pm. The day caps off with a monster matchup between #5 Georgia at #1 Texas (KTRK13) at 6:30 pm.
