Between volleyball and football, there will five area teams competing on Friday that are state-ranked. For the volleyball teams, it will be the regular season finale as the playoffs are right around the corner.
Wednesday: No games scheduled
Thursday: Santa Fe starts the high school football weekend when the Indians visit Baytown Lee at 7 PM.
Friday: The final matches of the high school volleyball season starts at 4:15 PM with Brazoswood at Clear Creek, followed by La Marque at Sweeny at 4:30 PM. Clear Lake at Clear Brook, Dickinson at Clear Falls, and state-ranked Clear Springs at Deer Park is at 6 PM, while state-ranked Friendswood at Angleton and Santa Fe at Texas City start at 6:30 PM.
In high school football, Ball at Barbers Hills, Clear Falls at Clear Brook (Challenger Columbia), Clear Lake at Clear Creek (Veterans Memorial), Clear Springs at state-ranked Dickinson, Friendswood at Porter, state-ranked Hitchcock at Columbus, state-ranked La Marque at Sweeny, and Lamar Consolidated at Texas City (Victory Sports Network broadcast) is at 7 PM.
The Rockets play their first home game of the 2025-26 regular season against the Pistons at 7 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.
Saturday: The college football schedule starts at 2 PM with Connecticut at Rice (ESPN+), Lincoln at Prairie View, and Southeastern Louisiana at Houston Christian (ESPN+), followed by #22 Texas at Mississippi State (SEC Network) at 3:15 PM. Lamar at Northwestern State (ESPN+) is at 4 PM, while Stephen F. Austin at East Texas State (ESPN+) is at 6 PM. Third-ranked Texas A&M at #20 LSU (KTRK13) is at 6:30 PM, with Houston at #24 Arizona State (ESPN2) at 7 PM.
