The middle of November marks the start of tournament play for area basketball teams, with several competing at the McDonald’s Invitational in Pasadena.
Wednesday: The Rockets visit the Cavaliers at 6 PM. ESPN will have the game live.
Thursday: In girls’ basketball tournament play, Ball is at the Splendora Tournament, and Clear Springs and Friendswood are at the McDonald’s Invitational in Pasadena, while Dickinson and state-ranked Hitchcock are at the Manvel Tournament. La Marque is at the Danbury Tournament, Santa Fe is at the Southwest ISD Tournament in San Antonio, and Texas City is at the Columbia Varsity Invitational.
Meanwhile, the boys’ basketball tournament will see Clear Brook, Clear Falls, Dickinson, and state-ranked Friendswood at the McDonald’s Invitational in Pasadena. Clear Springs is at the College Park Tournament, state-ranked La Marque is at the Danbury Tournament, while Texas City is at the Magnolia Tournament.
The Texans will seek to keep their winning ways when the Bills visit NRG Stadium for Thursday Night Football. Prime Video will have the game live at 7:15 PM.
Friday: The boys’ basketball schedule will have state-ranked Hitchcock at Santa Fe at 6:30 PM. Brazosport at Ball and Clear Creek at Kingwood both start at 7 PM.
The Rockets host the Nuggets at 8:30 PM. Prime Video will have the game live.
Saturday: College football begins at 11 AM with Samford at #3 Texas A&M (SEC Network), followed by Alabama A&M at Texas Southern, Mississippi Valley State at Prairie View, Sam Houston State at Middle Tennessee State (ESPN+), and Incarnate Word at Houston Christian (ESPN+) at 2 PM. Arkansas at #17 Texas (KTRK13) is at 2:30 PM, followed at 3 PM by TCU at #25 Houston (KRIV26) and McNeese at Lamar (ESPN+). North Texas at Rice (ESPNU) is at 6:30 PM.
