It’s a busy weekend that includes the CCISD girls’ soccer tournament and a heaping helping of basketball. Depending on the outcome of Monday’s AFC Wild Card game, the slate will be larger as the Texans could be one step closer to the AFC Title game. 

Wednesday: The boys’ basketball slate has Clear Brook at Clear Lake, Clear Creek at Brazoswood, Clear Falls at Dickinson, and Clear Springs at Deer Park starting at 7 PM.

On the girls’ hoops schedule, Clear Lake at Clear Brook, Brazoswood at Clear Creek, Dickinson at Clear Falls, and Deer Park at Clear Springs begin at 7 PM. 

Thursday: The highlight of the soccer schedule will be the CCISD Girls’ Tournament. Each of the district’s five schools will participate in the three-day event. 

In boys’ soccer, Clear Creek is at the Deer Park Tournament, while Clear Falls and Friendswood are at the Battleground Tournament in Channelview. Texas City is at the Vidor Tournament. La Marque at Pasadena is at 7 PM.

The Rockets host the defending NBA champion Thunder at 6:30 PM. The game will be broadcast on Prime Video.

Friday: In boys’ basketball, Ball at Santa Fe, Sweeny at state-ranked La Marque, state-ranked Friendswood at Iowa Colony, and Texas City at Angleton start at 7 PM. Van Vleck at state-ranked Hitchcock tips off at 7:30 PM.

The girls’ basketball schedule has /Van Vleck at Hitchcock at 5 PM, followed by Angleton at Texas City at 6:30 PM. Santa Fe at Ball is at 7 PM, while Iowa Colony at Friendswood starts at 7:15 PM.

In boys’ soccer, Santa Fe at Wharton starts at 5 PM, while Ball at Davis starts at 7:30 PM.

The Rockets host the Timberwolves at 8:30 PM. Space City Home Network begins the pregame show at 8 PM. The 

Saturday: Boys basketball starts at 1 PM with Deer Park at Clear Creek, Dickinson at Clear Brook, and Clear Springs at Clear Lake. The girls’ basketball schedule also begins at 1 PM with Clear Creek at Deer Park, and Clear Brook at Dickinson.

The girls’ soccer schedule will have Friendswood vs. Port Neches-Groves at noon. The match will be played at Challenger Columbia Stadium.
