Texas City Police conduct undercover Internet Crimes Against Children Operation

During the week of January 12, 2026, detectives with the Texas City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division began an online operation targeting individuals attempting to exploit children. The investigation was carried out by the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, along with the Crime Scene Unit and Patrol Division.
As a result of this operation, officers identified several suspects involved in the online solicitation of minors. The following individuals were taken into custody:
Juan Mondragon-Ramirz 44, Jose Perez-Lopez 55, Artemio Garcia, 56 of Houston, Tx of Houston, Tx of Houston, Tx

The hard work and dedication that went into this operation stands as a reminder that the Texas City Police Department, and the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force must continue to fight for the safety of the children in our communities.
