THE FAMILY PLAN

“Is this all there is?”
Several years ago I was visiting with a client, and when he was called away for a moment, one of his employees began a conversation with me. I’ll never forget his demeanor, shoulders slumped over a bit, his long drawn face reflected many hardships in such a young life. Then he gazed at me with an empty look in his eyes and asked, “Is this all there is?”
Well, have you ever asked this important question? I did- many times. Now, I’m not referring to the moments we’ve said it while staring into a nearly empty Blue Bell container. (Though that IS an important question. Lol!) No, I’m talking about that point in your life, or moment in time, where you stop and seriously wonder, is … this … all … there … is …to my
existence?
Job. Family. Hobby. Career. Money (or lack of). Is that why I’m here? I believe if we’re completely honest with ourselves we have all asked that question at one time or another. Some of us on a daily basis. Well, whether you’ve asked it out of desperation, or boredom, or just a moment of reflection, there is an answer. And here it is. God wanted a family. That is why we were created. It was His plan all along to create people so that He could love them and who would, of their own free will, love Him back. That is how we started out. God created the whole earth just so we would have a place to stay. A perfect, beautiful environment for us to live in. He created the earth and everything in it. (Gen. Chapter 1) “And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let Us (God/Jesus/Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness (spiritually
perfect) … ” Genesis 1:26 And He created man and then woman, as a help mate. Gen. 2:20 (Sorry women libbers. In this “perfect” world it worked. Identity crisis did not exist for women or men. Equal pay. The vote. Laws to protect women/children. Not necessary. God’s perfect spirit indwelled in man and it was his nature to be kind, gently and to love perfectly. Also, God had made provision for every need.)
After the fall of man, (Gen. 3:1-7), our perfect world became imperfect. Death entered every living thing. When I was very young, I use to wonder why God would put us in a world with poisonous plants and insects, sharks, crocodiles, extreme
heat/cold and MOSQUITOS! Well, He didn’t. Death did not just kill man’s spirit but it also caused the decay of our entire environment including plants, insects and animals. Look at this, “And God said, “See, I have given you every HERB that yields
seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; TO YOU IT SHALL BE FOR FOOD. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I HAVE GIVEN EVERY GREEN HERB FOR FOOD.” Gen. 29:30. (Now, please don’t go getting the “Beef, it’s what’s for dinner” people
against me … I enjoy a good cheeseburger. They just didn’t exist in Paradise.) I believe animals became “man eaters” after sin/death entered the world. Plants de-evolved into poisonous entities etc. Every living thing was now a product of a “hostile” environment and had to find ways to protect itself, as did mankind. But out of love for us God still continues to make provision for us and for them.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:25-26
Now did you catch what Jesus just said, “Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” We are actually three
parts.(Thessalonians 5:23) We are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body. Even though we
are born spiritually dead (disconnected from God) our bodies are still able
to physically reproduce. Yet we were still spiritually dead therefore ….”God so loved the world (people) that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Jesus lived a sinless life, fulfilled the law, died in our place and took our sins upon Himself, was raised from the dead and through His blood has
now made reconciliation between God and man.
Through Christ Jesus every single person is being given the opportunity to be brought back to life, (reborn in the spirit), to become part of the family of God and spend eternity with Him, starting today! We have the opportunity to become just like Adam and Eve were before sin and death entered the picture. To be spiritually reconnected to God. To know Him as our Heavenly Father in the Spirit. You know, religion has made it a “heaven and hell” issue- receive Jesus so you won’t go to hell. That is a truth, but it is not the Gospel message. “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Cor. 5:18-19 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13.

I made that heart decision by faith in my living in 1996, where I met my Heavenly Father and encountered His unconditional love/grace and mercy- in abundance!

My only true regret is that I waited 33 long years before I responded to that tug on my heart, put my faith in Jesus and accepted His invitation of love- becoming born again into the family of God. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him
who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor. 5:20-21 So, I am here to tell you the good news! There is more! Your life has a purpose … to know the One who has loved you all of your life.

Welcome to the Family!
