Perhaps It All Boils Down To Luck…And Pulling Together!
With St. Pat’s Day at our doorstep, it is good to reflect on where luck actually comes from. Studies show that the “luckiest” people are usually people of good cheer. They are consistently hard working, involved in their church, their schools, and their communities. They are, by and large, people who have a belief system that they adhere to. They are not judgmental but they are strong in their convictions. Most of them have strong family ties, a good sense of humor, are usually well read and are experts at something.
They tend to enjoy sharing what they know. They are humble, grateful; sometimes larger than life, sometimes accomplishing great things quietly. They are respectful, friendly, approachable, kind, generous and thoughtful. They notice things many of us do not and make a point of celebrating the good fortune of others. In other words, they pretty much make their own luck and the rest is drawn to them by their actions and their energy.
They are all around us and they are what makes our cities great. They are you. they are your neighbors. They are our children, our pastors, our police, our elderly, and ourselves. They are us and they are #galvestoncountystrong
