THE PANDEMIC HAS LED TO CHALLENGING schedules, but no one may have a more daunting task tha girls high school basketball team at Galveston Ball, which plays four straight games this week.
Wednesday: The girls’ high school basketball schedule will have Dickinson at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Clear Lake, Brazoswood at state-ranked Clear Springs and Galveston Ball at Baytown Sterling each tipping off at 7:00pm.
Meanwhile, the boys’ high school hoops docket will have state-ranked Clear Brook at Dickinson, Clear Lake at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Brazoswood and Baytown Sterling at Galveston Ball starting at 7:00pm.
Thursday: Galveston Ball’s girls’ basketball team continues its gruling stretch as the Tors host La Porte for a 5:45pm tilt. Meanwhile, the Friendswood boys’ basketball team visits Goose Creek Memorial at 6:00pm.
The Rockets host the Trail Blazers in a matchup that can be seen on either AT&T Sportsnet Southwest and TNT. AT&T will have game live at 8:30pm following the pregame show at 8:00pm,
Friday: A busy boys’ high school soccer schedule wilkl have La Marque at Annhuc at 6:00pm, followed by Clear Brook at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at Clear Lake and Galveston Ball at Baytown Sterling each getting underway at 7:30pm.
The girls’ soccer schedule will have Clear Falls at Clear Brook, Clear Creek at Dickinson, Clear Lake at Clear Springs and Baytown Sterling at Galveston Ball. Each match starts at 7:30pm.
In high school boys’ basketball, La Marque at Needville gets a 2:30pm start, followed by Galveston Ball at La Porte at 5:00pm and Goose Creek Memorial at Texas City at 6:00pm. Hitchcock at Brazos starts at 7:30pm.
Friendswood at Galveston Ball and Texas City at Santa Fe starts the girls’ high school basketball slate at 5:45pm, while state-ranked Hitchcock at Brazos begins at 6:00pm. Needville at La Marque starts at 6:30pm.
Saturday: The boys’ high school basketball schedule will have Clear Lake at Clear Fals, Clear Springs at Dickinson and Galveston Ball at Santa Fe each starting at 1:00pm. Friendswood at Baytown Lee starts at 2:00pm.
Santa Fe at Galveston Ball starts the girls’ high school girls’ slate at 12:15pm, followed by Clear Falls at Clear Creek and Dickinson at state-ranked Clear Springs at 1:00pm. Baytown Lee at Friendswood begins at 2:00pm.
Both the District 20-5A and 24-6A swimming and diving competition with 20-5A hosting their meet at Friendswood Natarorium, while the 24-6A event being held at Texas Cit’s Doyle Natatorium.
One of the area’s first softball scrimmages wil get underway at 10:30am when Dickinson meets La Marque.
Houston begins a three-city, four-game road trip when they take on the Pelicans for a 7:00pm tip. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts their pregame show at 6:30pm.
