Bolivar: GOOD. 68 degrees. Many reports of bull redfish, redfish, and jackfish. Most catches happen with live finger mullet, fresh cut bait, or squid.

Trinity Bay: GOOD. 66 degrees. Kemah and Seabrook Flats are holding schools of bull reds in the open water. Birds are working over them, pinpointing their location. The best bait is soft plastics with a one-fourth-ounce lead head. Clear Lake is holding some keeper redfish. The trout bite has slowed but showed ramp up again as the weather cools down with live shrimp and soft plastics working equally.

East Galveston Bay: FAIR. 66 degrees. Bull reds are still being caught by those throwing fresh dead mullet, and shad fished on the bottom. Galveston Bay: GOOD. 66 degrees. Eagle Point Fishing Camp reports decent numbers of sheepshead showing up by those anglers using live shrimp fished near structure or hard shell. West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 66 degrees. Speckled trout catches are increasing in the area of Greens Cut. Most anglers are throwing soft plastic lures. Redfish are good around Confederate Reef using live shrimp and soft plastics. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Texas City: GOOD. 66 degrees. The fishing report remains the same for those Texas slams, flounder, speckled trout, slot redfish, fish in the bay using artificials, and live shrimp.

Freeport: GOOD. 69 degrees. Follow the bird action to find redfish using live shrimp under a popping cork.

East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 69 degrees. The bays and Colorado River are producing trout and redfish. Success with live or plastic baits. If you are targeting larger fish, use any type of hardware in the East Bay. In inclement weather, fish the Colorado River because it is green and clear and holds lots of fish. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 69 degrees. Trout are good in the jetties using plastics or live shrimp. Redfish are good on gold spoons and sardines.
