Bolivar: GOOD. 50 degrees. Bolivar has trout, sheepshead, and redfish at the jetties on popping cork and shrimp. Sheepshead at Sunken ship in front of SWP. Redfish at SWP off the rocks. Flounder still in Galveston harbor. Reported by Captain Raymond Wheatley, Tail Spotter Guide Service LLC.

Trinity Bay: GOOD. 50 degrees. Burnett Bay and San Jacinto Bay are good for sheepshead, speckled trout, and redfish. Best bite is on live shrimp fished underneath popping corks. A few trout with an occasional redfish being caught by those drifting Dow’s Reef, when the wind allows. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

East Galveston Bay: GOOD. 60 degrees. Waders are still doing the best on speckled trout and redfish, throwing mullet imitation plugs. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Galveston Bay: GOOD. 52 degrees. A few redfish and sheepshead are being caught along the shorelines near Eagle Point. Live shrimp attract the bites. Clear Lake is good for speckled trout on live shrimp and artificial lures. A few redfish are also being taken, along with sheepshead in Clear Lake. West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 54 degrees. Speckled trout with the occasional redfish being caught in the deeper channels and bayous. Best baits are soft plastic lures and live shrimp. Texas City: GOOD. 54 degrees. Good catches of large black drum at the north and south jetty with fresh halved crab as bait. Sheepshead are being caught with live shrimp, thrown tight to the rocks. Bull red catches are fair. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Freeport: GOOD. 55 degrees. Good numbers of sheepshead, drum, and redfish are biting on live shrimp fishing in deep cuts in front of bay entrances. East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 64 degrees. Fishing is slow with this typical cold February weather. Drift fishing on a calm day can bring some fish in the boat. Wade fishing is producing larger trout with artificials. Redfish are good on shrimp in the holes. The Colorado River bite has slowed because of fresh water runoff. West Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 64 degrees. Fishing is slow with this typical cold February weather. Drift fishing on a calm day can bring some fish in the boat. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 59 degrees. Big jetties are holding the fish. Sheepshead are excellent using live or dead shrimp. Redfish are good on gold spoons and Spanish sardines.
