LEAGUE CITY, TX – January 14, 2019 – Associated Credit Union of Texas (ACU of Texas), is proud to celebrate Jack Click’s 25th anniversary as CEO and President of the company. January 17, marks 25 years of loyalty and service to the credit union, its members and the local community. “For 25 years, we have been privileged to have Jack leading ACU of Texas,” said Bill Carraway, Chairman of the Board. “Jack’s commitment to our members and the community has distinguished ACU of Texas as the credit union that cares, which is the foundation the company is built on.” Click’s credit union career began in 1983 at Carbide Employees Federal Credit Union in Texas City, shortly after his graduation from Stephen F. Austin University. In 1994, Click joined Associated Credit Union (ACU) as the President and CEO, and in 2004, led the merger between ACU and Galveston County Federal Credit Union (formerly Carbide Employees), creating the current ACU of Texas. Born and raised in Hitchcock, Texas, Click’s personal dedication to the Galveston County area can be seen in his past and current roles on the Hitchcock ISD Education Foundation Board, The Independence Village Advisory Board, the La Marque Lions Club, as well as his membership at The Harbor in Friendswood. Recently, Click was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Hitchcock ISD Education Foundation as a thank you for his time, effort and support. Click is also active within the credit union community, and serves as a board member on the Credit Union Coalition of Texas. As a member of the board, Click works with other credit union executives to ensure that Texas legislation and regulations positively impact credit unions and their members.
