FANS EXPERIENCE AREA HOOPS VERSION OF CLOUD 9

A TOTAL OF NINE boys’ and girls’ basketball teams hit the court on Tuesday with the hopes of pushing one step closer in the state playoffs.
The boys’ schedule started at 530pm with La Marque taking on Houston Booker T. Washington at Brazoswood High School in a 4A, Region III bi-district round. The action moved to 6:00pm as Dickinson plays Pearland at Dobie High School and Clear Springs met Dawson at Alvin High School in a pair of 6A, Region III contests.
Texas City played Port Neches-Groves at North Shore High School, while Friendswood took on Nederland at Baytown Sterling High School in a pair of 5A, Region III games that started at 7:00pm. In a 6A, Region III matchup, Clear Creek took on George Ranch at Pearland High School, with Hitchcock opening its playoff run in a 3A, Region III contest against New Waverly, with each game starting at 7:30pm.
The evening of boys’ hoops concluded when Galveston Ball faced Port Arthur Memorial at Pasadena’s Phillips’ Field House at 8:00pm.
Clear Springs, the area’s remaining girls’ basketball team still alive, took on Summer Creek at Pasadena High School at 6:00pm.
