Sneak Peek Night at the Galveston County Fair and Rodeo will be headlined by Seven
Bridges, the Ultimate Eagles Experience on Thursday, March 28, 2019, 6:00pm to
10:00pm at #10 Jack Brooks Park, Hwy 6 in Hitchcock. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood
Center will also be hosting a drive that evening while there will be All You Want carnival

USS Cavalla 75 th Anniversary Celebration
-Daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Seawolf Park in Galveston. The Galveston Naval
Museum is celebrating the 75 th anniversary of the commissioning of the USS Cavalla.
Nicknamed “Lucky Lady,” the Cavalla is best known for sinking the Japanese aircraft
carrier Shokaku, which was involved in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Free admission is
available for veterans and active military during the month of March. For more

Train Rides at the Galveston Railroad Museum
-Saturdays at Galveston Railroad Museum, 2602 Santa Fe Place, Galveston from
11:00am to 1:45pm. The “Harborside Express” is an open-air caboose that travels a mile up
Harborside Dr., then returns to the Galveston Railroad Museum. The train rides are
approximately 15 minutes long. Boarding for the Harborside Express begins at

11:00am, with the last train ride departing the depot at 1:45 pm. The train is a standing
ride without seats. Due to the caboose being open air, the rides will sometimes be
closed during inclement weather.
Advantage Luncheon and Learn
-March 26, 2019, 11:00am to 1:00pm, Luna’s Mexican Restaurant, 6555 South Shore
Blvd., League City. This month’s guest is Edward Jones advisor Jacob Morban. The
event is free to attend. Bring an appetite, knowledge and plenty of business cards.
Brews ‘N More III
-March 28, 2019, 5:30pm to 8:30pm, South Shore Harbor Resort and Conference
Center, 2500 South Shore Blvd. in League City. Join fellow beer enthusiasts for this
one-day event showcasing local and emerging Texas Craft Brewers. Spend time
meeting brew masters and represenatives one-on-one as they showcase their
handpicked selections. Tickets are $40 per person and a portion of the proceeds will go

-March 30, 2019 beginning at 2:00pm, Gilhooley’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar, 222 9th
St. in San Leon. The popular band makes another appearance at the restaurant. Come

2nd Annual Maritime Exhibition
-March 30, 2019, 10:00am to 4:00pm, Texas City Museum, 409 6th Street North. Join
us for the city’s 2nd annual maritime exhibition, which will include displays from a host
of visiting organizations. There will also be hands-on activities for kids as the day offers
the opportunity to learn about the city’s rich maritime history. Tickets will be $5 per

2nd Annual Boyd’s Crawfish Festival

Located at the base of the Texas City Dike, the festival will include a kid’s zone and a
crawfish contest along with a lot of crawfish cooked in a variety of ways. Tickets can be

La Marque Kiwanis Speaker Series

La Marque. TCISD Director of Communications Melissa Tortorici is the guest speaker
and will provide an education update, hear about new TCISD schools and participate in

American Legion Crawfish Boil

-April 6, 2019 and May 4, 2019, 2:00pm to 10:00pm, American Legion/Maco Stewart

corn with refreshments available. Both events will give attendees the opportunity to

Keep Kids in School Golf Tournament
