Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos, and the songs of
the ‘70’s hit the Bay Area Harbour Playhouse July 12 – August 4 .
“Disaster!,” the new musical comedy by Seth Rudetsky
and Jack Plotnick, is an exciting homage to
classic disaster films coming straight from Broadway
to the Playhouse at 3803 Highway 3 in Dickinson.
Performances will be Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.
and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on the Main Deck downstairs
stage. There will be 12 shows over three weekends.
Director Christopher Lowe selected Whitney Wyatt
to be Musical Director and Stephanie Hendrickson as
choreographer. Both are well known in local theatre
for their talent and expertise.
They will focus on more than 30 unforgettable pop,
rock, and disco songs from the 1970’s which keep
audiences laughing and clapping.
The musical is set in 1979 and New York’s A-listers
are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and
discotheque. Brandon Allen, Phillip Graschel, and
Keith Herrmann portray three young guys who
are looking for ladies. They lead the talented
cast which includes a nightclub singer (Sarah
Hames), a disaster expert (Keith Herrmann), and a
nun with a gambling addiction (Amanda Mutz).
Others in the cast are Jordan Emmitte, a youngster
busting with lots of energy and talent, and
Kayla Skinner, Brandi Kiekel, Daniel Bonett, Kathlen
Holder, and Edward Waddell.

Grygier, Troy Nordyke, John Gregory, Kendall Dixon,
