GET YOUR FILL OF high school basketball today because you’ll have to wait until after the Thanksgiving weekend for another dose. Both state-ranked Dickinson and Texas City will be in action, with the Gators getting the spotlight game of the all-day Hoops Giving Classic.

Of course, what would Thanksgiving be without the Cowboys?

Wednesday: A quartet of boys’ basketball games closes out the week as everyone gets the Thanksgiving weekend off. South Houston at Clear Brook and Crosby at La Marque each tip at 1:00pm, followed by state-ranked Texas City at La Porte at 2:00pm. State-ranked Dickinson takes on Houston Christian at 6:30pm as part of the Hoops Giving Classic at Morton Ranch High School.

The Rockets welcome the Heat to Toyota Center for their only regular season appearance beginning at 7:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will begin coverage at 6:30pm with the pregame show.

Thursday: The Cowboys continue their tradition of playing on Thanksgiving Day when they host the Bills for a 3:30pm kickoff at AT&T Stadium. KHOU 11 will start coverage at 2:30pm with its pregame show.

There is one other football game on the local slate as Prairie View visits Alabama State for a 2:00pm kickoff.

Friday: Texas Tech and Texas get a busy day of college football when the two schools collide for a 11:00am kickoff in Austin. While the start time is in place, the network televising the game has not been announced.

Saturday: The last full Saturday of the college football regular season gets underway with Rice at UTEP (ESPN3) at 2:00pm, while Texas A&M gets an opportunity to shake the foundations of the national championship race when the Aggies travel to #1 LSU for a 6:00pm kickoff that will be aired on ESPN. The Navy at Houston game had not announced a kickoff time as of Sunday.

The Rockets conclude a brief three-game home stand with a 7:00pm tip against the Hawks. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage beginning at 6:30pm with the pregame show.
