Greetings along with my hope and prayer that everyone – along with your families – is keeping healthy and safe. We are continuing to do well keeping a daily routine/schedule including wellness activities.
Just want to share the unfortunate news that due to the still unpredictable course of the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems best to cancel the Thursday, July 23rd CAC meeting.
Even though, the City of Texas City was amenable to have us meet at the Showboat Pavilion, after getting some valued guidance, I felt that the folks who assiduously attend our meetings would still be skeptical gathering in a meeting venue. While disappointing, we must abide by an abundance of caution and the safe guidance regarding the health of our community.
Our next scheduled meeting is hopefully, Thursday, September 17th and the program will be an update on the new Ammonia Plant, presented by Gulf Coast Ammonia/Air Products. And, hopefully as well, the final meeting of 2020 will be the Biennial Local Air Quality Update by members of TCEQ and AECOM, Thursday, November 19th. I will be sending notices closer to the date.
And thankfully, our very generous meal hosts have agreed to maintain the “rotation” with NuStar hosting the September 17th meeting and Gulf Coast Water Authority (GCWA) hosting the last 2010 meeting November 19th.
My thanks to everyone and especially our very generous meal hosts for your continued support and partnership. It is always great to be part of such an effective community-based team!
Thank you, stay healthy and safe, and hope to see you all soon!
José
