BOTH LA MARQUE AND TEXAS CITY’S boys’ basketball teams will be sidelined going into the final portion of the calendar year. Each were scheduled for games on Monday and Tuesday, but coronavirius issues will keep them off the court until at least January 4.
Sunday: The Texans begin the final portion of their 2020 regular season when they host the Bengals beginning at 12:00pm. KHOU-11 will have the game live.
There’s still hope for the Cowboys to win the NFC East title. That means defeating the rival Eagles, who come to AT&T Stadium for a 3:25pm kickoff. KRIV-26 will have coverage of what will be an elimination game for both.
Monday: In boys’ high school basketball, Hitchcock at Boling tips off at 1:30pm, followed by Santa Fe at Sealy beginning at 2:30pm. There is also one game on the girls’ high school hoops docket as Westfield visits Clear Springs at 1:00pm.
Soccer scrimmages are also part of the day as Pearland at Friendswood (boys’) gets going at 9:00am, while Dickinson at Santa Fe (girls’) starts at 2:00pm.
The Rockets conclude a brief two-game road trip with a contest against the host Nuggets, who advanced to the Western Conference Finals last season. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have the game at 8:00pm, with the pregame show starting at 7:30pm.
Tuesday: Just like Monday, the day has a light schedule of boys’ high school basketball with Kincaid at Clear Falls starting at 11:30am, followed by Goose Creek Memorial at Santa Fe at 1:30pm. Friendswood at Manvel is a 7:00pm tip, with Houston Harmony at Hitchcock wrapping up the day at 7:30pm.
The girls’ high school basketball schedule has Clear Falls at Humble at 12:00pm. Texas City at Galveston Ball begins at 12:30pm, with Santa Fe at Goose Creek Memorial starting at 1:30pm, and Friendswood at Baytown Lee starting at 2:00pm.
One girls’ high school soccer scrimmage is available for fans to view as Clear Lake at Friendswood meeting at 12:30pm.
